#16 Holding yourself accountable
When we say a lot without conveying much, are we hiding the lack of real substance?

Especially when we're unsure of what to write, we tend to ramble. Packing too many ideas into one piece and using complex language overwhelms both ourselves and our audience.
Cognitive load, defined as "the amount of information our working memory can process at any given time" (source), varies among individuals but is inherently limited.
You might expect me to say "Less is more," but I avoid extreme views. Saying too little can also leave gaps in understanding, leading each reader to fill in with their imagination, sacrificing clarity and precision.
In summary, focus on the key message you want to convey in your writing. Ensure that the 5 Ws and 1 H (who, what, when, where, why, and how) are addressed simply in your message.
What are your thoughts? What are your major writing challenges? Text me, I’m curious.
