#46 Is working in UX still worth it?

Just a few years ago, many dreamed of tech jobs with flexibility, high pay, and a fun, informal work environment. But it's not exactly the case anymore.

Not so long ago, getting a tech job was a privilege. Many of us took it for granted, thinking it would last forever. But, as we’ve seen, it didn’t.

Waves of layoffs from San Francisco to Singapore show that pay can drop, flexibility can shrink, and work culture can become more stressful and competitive.

So, is a tech career still worth pursuing? Why are you staying?

There are no clear answers. Some will leave the industry, while others will continue to dive in.

I’m not here to say what’s right or wrong. But one thing is clear: know your why.
